VIELLE Å VIOLE
The two musicians have collaborated together for many years in various groups. In this musical performance they wanted to explore some of the more quiet sounds of their instruments – a viola da gamba and a hurdy-gurdy (Vevlira). Their discordant and spiky dialogue and exchange of ideas reminds us of the riches we can find in small things.
Yann Le Nestour is a Stockholm-based musician working with voice, wind and string instruments. He is a multi-artist who gladly engages in the lyrical, the poetic and the surrealist.
Girilal Baars is a vocalist and composer based in Uppsala. His music moves between contemporary art music, electronics, sound art, free improvisation and folk music, often with the voice as a starting point.
