SCRAP PROJECT 2004
Body and Art met Scrapyard dealing in a sparkling performance!
Uppsala, Sweden
August 14, 9 PM + Scrap Party
The scrapyard is a recycle place for all the metal that has lost its function in the society. Artists and workers give through their interventions in the performance a new perspective on this metal.
The landscape that surrounds us at the scrapyard is for many people an unknown side of civilization, at the end of the materialistic consumption.
It is a forgotten place. Beauty is seen in the twisted aluminium. Secrets are whispered in the pile of engines. Opinions flood out of barrels of magnesium spiral cut-offs. The graveyard of the materials shows us the traces of infinity.
