Moderna Dansteatern produced this stunning event for contemporary dance and ice skating. Six invited choreographers created work for ice dance: Lotta Melin, Helena Franzén, Virpi Pahkinen, Katarina de Bourg, Marie Fahlin and SU-EN. Charlotte Engelkes was ice princess

The curse of change when the ice melts and new shapes are visible. Crawling across the infinite ice.
Are we crawling towards the bright future or away from disaster? The ice on Antarctica has never been so thin as now …

The performance was created in close collaboration with costume designer, artist and colour researcher Joanna Bodzek, with starting point in the physical encounter with the ice and thoughts concerning the situation of the planet.
Joanna Bodzek is a textile artist with background in fashion. She is educated at Beckmans School of Design in Stockholm 1989-93 and later at Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design in London 2001-03. Since 1994 she is working with fashion, art and community projects mainly with her base in London.
