GOTTSUNDA HUMAN MIRACLES & MPALA

Mon no Kai in collaboration with SU-EN Butoh Company proudly presents a series of events at Gottsunda shopping center in Uppsala. Mpala is a word on Tumbuka, a Bantu language that is spoken in Zambia, Malawi and Tanzania. Mpala means village center, or a place for dialogue and knowledge transfer between generations.

SU-EN Butoh Company and guests artists perform and create in the space and time. We use art, performance, dance and music as a means of communication between human beings. The project is based on the UN declaration of Human Rights. Spontaneous encounters and small human miracles are to be expected! We meet each other as we are, share experience and have conversations with starting point in the contemporary art that we experienced! Every art action is about 1 hour and afterwards people can hang out at the Kulturpunkten café.
